Every way the wind blows

This week we have seen a lot of different weather as the different systems
that make our climate battle for supremacy.
First some unseasonable warm, still days as weather from the south gently
blew in. The nights were cloudless but warm, as the air was coming from the
Mediterranean. Then Atlantic weather pushed in from the West with lots of
light showers. After a day the wind switched to the North as a new weather
front bought cold windy air from the Arctic Ocean. When more warm weather
arrived from the south it was like summer again.
This weather is good for my leaf vegetables. I have been able to harvest
lettuces but although I am getting a lot of tomatoes many of them seem to
get mouldy quickly and only about one in ten is edible.
The warm evenings brought some lovely sunsets too as dust in the dry air
caught the rays from the setting sun.

今週は気候の優越合戦を引き起こす様々な天気がありました。季節感のない静かで穏やかな南からの天気からはじまり、夜は地中海性からの大気 による雲ひとつない暖かいものでした。それから大西洋の気候が西からやってきて、多くのにわか雨をふらせました。その後、北極圏からの冷たい北風にかわりました。もっと暖かい気候が南からたどり着くとまた夏日になります。
この天気は私の葉野菜にとても利点があります。ずっとレタスは収穫できていましたが、トマトはたくさんなるものの多くはすぐにカビがつき、１０のうち１つぐらいしか食べれません。
暖かい夜は乾いた大気のほこりが沈む夕日の光をとらら、すばらしい夕日をももたらします。
